Hair Extravaganza wants to thank you for participating in this spectacular event that represents our industry and embraces our community. Contest Rules And Regulations
1. The competition is open to only licensed professional cosmetologists and barbers.
2.Fantasy and Barber competitors must submit a "before" head shot photo. This will give the judges a visual of the transformation of the model.
3. The competitors must sign and submit the official entry application and required fee by March 1, 2010. An additional, $50.00 is required after the deadline. In doing so, the competitor agrees to abide by the decision of the judges and the regulations of the "sponsor", Hair Extravaganza. The Sponsor Reserves The Right to cancel or limit the number of competitors. NO Refunds or Exchanges for any competitor.* Limited Entries
4. Entry fees accommodate the competitor, (1) assistant and a total of (4) models. Any additional models will require a fee of $25.00 per model. The dressing area is for the competitors' convenience and privacy. Sponsor will not be held liable for unattended valuables. There will be NO SPECTATORS.
5. Competitors will have (4 )minutes on stage. Any extra time may effect the total score. Competitors need to be conscious of their time and stage presentation. Competitors music needs to be on a high quality CD. The sponsor is not liable for any technical problems with competitors' music.
6. There will be absolutely NO nudity, profanity or any offensive gestures. This behavior will not be tolerated. Competitors will be automatically disqualified for such behavior.
7. All models hair should be complete upon arrival. There will be NO STYLING allowed in the dressing area. Only touch up preparations.
8. Competitors Fantasy/Barber models MUST arrive no later than 5:00 p.m., for pre-judging. Judging will be done on a visual basis only. Late competitors or models may result in point deduction or disqualification. You are expected to be punctual, professional and prepared to compete.
FANTASY COMPETITION
This is a competition of the total look of the
imagination.The fantasy competition will allow the stylist to show a form of creativity by displaying an ambiance of a magical canvas of superb beauty and skills. The model's entire design should be 90% hair. Hair ornaments must be made of 85% of hair. Weaves, hair pieces may be used. No wigs and object covering is allowed this may effect final score.The design and attire must compliment each other for the total look.

BARBER COMPETITION
Conservative Cuts "MR.EXTRAVAGANZA"
This category will be judged on the craftsmanship of the ability to use your tools (such as clippers, scissor, razor and trimmers) Showing the skills to detail a haircut and define beards, hairlines and fades.Giving the model a distinguished and precise cut that accommodates his attire and style. Black out is allowed only to enhance overall look. (There will be points deducted for excessive black out.)
